Gift cards are convenient, easy to carry around, are secure and easily replaced if loss or theft occurs. And they can be used at so many places.
If you want to make a big production of giving a gift card, wrap it up in a box with pretty paper and a bow. Include a personalized note or card that the recipient can keep. You may even want to slip the gift card inside a greeting card. Gift cards themselves can serve as keepsakes as long as the user doesn't want to reload them and use them again. That is another benefit to giving gift cards. They can be reloaded with more funds and used over and over.
Credit card gift cards are available from any bank or credit union. They can also be ordered online. If your financial institution offers online banking you may even be able to order gift cards from them right from your computer. This is a good option if you are having the card shipped to a recipient. The financial institution you order from should be able to ship the card to whatever address you specify to save time and hassle. They may even offer a personalized message or card along with the gift card.
